SQL-based DataFlex sample application "Plato" released

We are excited to announce the full release of Plato – a new, SQL-based DataFlex sample application for a fictitious chrome plating business.

Plato fulfills two objectives: it illustrates the range of features and functions necessary to run any business, and it provides developers with full source code and documentation from which they can learn how business requirements are implemented in DataFlex.

Special emphasis is given in Plato to today’s operational necessities: running on an SQL server, incorporating strong security, presenting easy-to-use data entry screens for both production and administrative users, providing automated customer communications based on workflow and delivering a range of reports for operations and management.
