Privacy Policy Update March 2021

By Chip Casanave

Data Access Worldwide has updated our Privacy Policy. Your privacy is important to us. As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency about how we use your data, this blog summarizes the recent changes.

Most of our Privacy Policy is unchanged. The version published in March 2021 adds our products to the list of services and resources that collect Personal Information. Specifically, DataFlex and DataFlex Reports now capture and send to Data Access Worldwide hashed information that identifies the computer system upon which they are installed and the software license’s Serial Number. By knowing the Serial Number, we can determine the type of license installed and, for example, determine the time period that an Evaluation License can operate and easily extend it on line. With the Serial Number, we can also identify a license’s user.

We also made a change to the circumstances relating to requests to remove Personal Information from our systems. Removal requests may be declined if the Personal Information we store is related to an ongoing contract or license agreement under which we both have ongoing obligations.

In addition to the above, numerous small changes to words and phrases were made to improve the readability and clarity of the policy.

By continuing to use our products and services on or after March 15, 2021, you acknowledge and agree to our updated Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions or concerns about Data Access Worldwide’s Privacy Policy or data processing, please email us at administration@dataaccess.com. You can also contact us by phone at the Data Access Worldwide regional office appropriate for your country.
