DataFlex 2021 - Beta 2 Released
With great excitement, we announce the availability of the Beta 2 release of DataFlex 2021! This revision is ripe with enhancements, and introduces new changes at several levels of the product, including new policies. Next, read the "What’s New" section of the documentation, which includes step-by-step instructions on everything from initial experimentation through application migration and deep technical detail on using Unicode and 64-bit in DataFlex 2021.

About DataFlex 2021
DataFlex 2021 allows developers to build 64-bit and 32-bit applications in the Studio and to use and integrate Unicode - the global standard for character data. The Beta 2 release enables developers to learn, migrate, develop and test the new capabilities.

While considerable investment has been made in the "continuity" for which DataFlex is well known, some changes are required to take advantage of both 64-bit and Unicode. The Beta 2 release, which is “feature complete”, is the ideal version to begin converting existing 32-bit DataFlex applications to 64-bit and adopting Unicode in applications. During Beta, we continue to improve various features (both old and new), address bugs and improve the documentation in preparation for full release.
Two "Technology Previews”, two Alpha versions and one Beta version of DataFlex 2020 have been released since the start of the project, and a wealth of 64-bit and Unicode knowledge from early adopters is already available in the Data Access forum.
