Crystal Reports Server XI leads to enhanced decision quality at all levels of the business. The new Crystal Reports Server XI provides small- and medium-sized businesses with a complete reporting solution for creating, managing, and delivering traditional reports to desktop environments and publishing reports over the web. It addresses all steps in the reporting process from data access to report design, management and delivery, and report integration with portals and applications. Server based reports can also be exported and repurposed to the electronic formats used by most end users (PDF, Excel®, etc.). Product Position Server XI is the top end of the Crystal Reports product line. In the Business Objects product domain, additional capability including business intelligence, dashboards and alerters, performance analysis and interactive web query and reporting are delivered in the Business Objects Enterprise product line. - Utilities for report management and security
- Utilities to manage report publishing
- Five Concurrent Access Licenses (CALs) for end-users to view reports over the web. Concurrent access licenses allow the designated number of users to access the facilities of the report server. If the server’s user count is fully occupied, as soon as a user logs off (or times out), another user can log on and run reports.
- Up to a total of 20 CALs (4 X 5-user licenses) can be purchased per hardware server.
- Each deployment of Crystal Reports XI Server is limited to a single server with a maximum of four CPUs.
Developers who use the report server technology to build applications for sale, redistribution, or any deployment to a third party must purchase a copy of Crystal Reports XI Server for each installation of the application.
