PROBLEM:
I use Microsoft Access and connect to my database via ODBC Connectivity Kit.

I queried the table using Access and when trying to add a new record using Database Explorer, the following error was displayed:
General Error. HY000. Could not update; currently locked. Table = CUSTOMER (25). Error Number 12289.

SOLUTION:
Close Microsoft Access. Access probably has the table open and is preventing it from being locked by the CK for update.
