QUESTION:
How do I register and activate my Visual DataFlex Personal Edition?
ANSWER:
When you install Visual DataFlex, you will have 30 days from the installation date to enter a registration code and remove the evaluation status from your copy.
For Personal Edition you will need to obtain a registration code. Just visit http://www.visualdataflex.com/register and click on "Register Visual DataFlex Personal now". You will be asked to enter your email address.
After entering your email, you should press the "Start Registration" button to fill out the form with your contact information. At the end of a successful submition of the registration form, you will see the following message:
Your Visual DataFlex license has been successfully registered! Your registration information is being emailed to you.
The registration information will be automatically sent to the email you entered in the beginning.
Registering:
Once you receive the email with that information, enter the registration information using the Visual DataFlex registration program -- from the Start menu, select All Programs | Visual DataFlex 12.0 | Utilities | Register Visual DataFlex.
Activating:
After registering Visual DataFlex, you will get prompted to activate your copy of Visual DataFlex when launching any Visual DataFlex program.
To start the activation process, click on the "Get Activation Code" button displayed on the "Activate Visual DataFlex Personal" dialog. This will launch a page in your browser that displays the activation code generated for you. Copy that activation code into the form in the "Activate Visual DataFlex Personal" dialog (you will not see the numbers displayed) and press "Activate Now".
This will activate your copy and the "Activate Visual DataFlex Personal" dialog will no longer be displayed.
