PROBLEM:
I am trying to run one of my reports and the following error is displayed in Crystal Reports Designer:

Failed to load database information.
Details: The database DLL "crdb_p2bdfapi.dll" could not be loaded.

What could that be?

SOLUTION:
Make sure you have only one copy of each Crystal Reports and Connectivity Kit files and all the necessary files are found and accessible by the Crystal engine.

Example: Having crdb_p2bdfapi.dll in multiple locations will generate errors like "DataFlex" will not be displayed in the "New Connection" tree in Crystal Reports Designer, the error "The database DLL 'crdb_p2bdfapi.dll' could not be loaded." or even "Failed to Create the Crystal Query Engine" may be displayed when trying to run a report.
