PROBLEM:
I have Crystal Reports XI and Crystal Connectivity Kit 11.0.0.61. All my reports were working fine, but after I applied Service Pack 1 available from Business Objects, my reports don't retrieve the correct data.
How can I fix this?
SOLUTION:
Install build 11.0.0.64 of the Connectivity Kit after applying the latest hot fixes or service pack 1.
The new build is available as a drop-in -- a zip file named "Crystal CK 11.0.0.64.zip" containing the necessary Connectivity Kit files is available on the ftp site (follow link below).
In order to install build 64, you will need to
- Install Crystal XI
- Install Service Pack 1 for XI
- Install Crystal Connectivity Kit 11.0.0.61
- Download the ZIP, named "Crystal CK 11.0.0.64.zip", from the ftp
- Unzip the files to a temporary location and then
a- Place the DLLs in Business Objects' Common Files directory (default: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\bin)
b- Place the PDFs in Crystal CK's destination folder (default: C:\Program Files\Crystal Reports Connectivity Kit 11)
After that all your reports should be working as before.
Important!
You will need to use the same updated files (both DLLs from the zip file) in a deployment/client environment.
You can read more about deployment from the help file RDCDeployment.chm (default location: C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 11\Developer Files\Help\En) installed in your development environment.
