PROBLEM:
I have just installed a copy of Crystal Reports XI and the hot fix available on Business Object's website but, when trying to install the Connectivity Kit, I get an error message  saying that my CR XI build is 1282 and that the miminum build is 1326. Crystal is now build 1863.

So what is wrong?

SOLUTION:
The error message generated is
-----------------------------------------------
You currently have Crystal Reports version %CRWVERSION% installed.

This version will not correctly support DataFlex reports! You must have a minimum revision of 11.0.0.1326.

You must download and install the latest Hot Fixes from the Business Objects web site before installing the Crystal Reports Connectivity Kit.

See the ReadMe file for complete information and links to the appropriate Hot Fixes.
-----------------------------------------------
where %CRWVERSION% is what holds the exact number that was retrieved by examining the crpe32.dll that it finds.

The CK installation is examining the registry to find the CommonFiles setting in...

HKLM\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports

It then uses that path to locate crpe32.dll and get its revision information. It then uses that information to determine if the minimum revision is installed. It's showing the revision it actually finds in the message itself, so for some reason it is actually finding a crpe32.dll with the older revision number on it.

Make sure you install BOTH of the hot fixes mentioned in the information (they were also supplied on the Connectivity Kit CD and that you reboot after installing the hot fixes.
