New White Paper: Describes how to determine what bitmaps and
icons are included in Visual DataFlex 8.2 Applications
Visual DataFlex 8.2 makes it possible for developers to include
image files (bitmaps and icons) and version resources in their
compiled programs. Having images linked into a compiled program
has several advantages; it speeds up the usage of static images
and pictures don't need to be distributed separately. This new
white paper titled "Enumerating Resources included in
Visual DataFlex 8.2 Applications" shows you how to determine
what resources (bitmaps and icons) are included in the VDF 8.2
applications by building a resource editor for this specific purpose.

Updated White Paper: Deploying Visual DataFlex
8 Applications
The Deploying Visual DataFlex 8 Application white paper has
been updated with a new section labeled Crystal Reports Runtime
which discusses what Crystal Reports 8 files are needed when installing
a VDF 8.2 application in order to run Crystal Reports .rpt files.
This topic has been added due to the fact that the VDF 8.2 Client
License no longer installs the Crystal Reports runtime.
