CrossMerge
Data Connect Tool Beta launched
Data
Access Worldwide and RDC Tools International are pleased
to announce the Beta 1 release of the CrossMerge Data
Connect Tool!
CrossMerge
is a data connection and migration tool that simplifies
moving and synchronizing data between different types
of databases and/or across different locations. CrossMerge
is the latest utility to be added to the family of database
application development tools offered by Data Access Worldwide.
With
CrossMerge you can connect virtually any software package
that uses a database with another database source within
a couple of minutes. There's no need to make any modifications
to the databases. No programming is needed, just point
and click to connect your databases and move your data!
CrossMerge supports virtually all database formats, including
MS-SQL, IBM DB2, Pervasive.SQL, Oracle and DataFlex, as
well as ODBC compliant databases such as Microsoft Access,
Excel, MySQL, Informix, Progress, Interbase, and many
others.
We are asking all developers to participate in the CrossMerge
Beta Test Program - a very important part of the product
development cycle - to ensure that CrossMerge is ready
for public release. Complete information about the Beta
program is available in the CrossMerge Newsgroup at:

Reminder
- Upgrade to Pervasive.SQL V8 & get Pervasive Backup
Agent for free
DataFlex developers know that when you're providing
mission-critical applications, the best way to ensure
your continued success is by powering your applications'
back-end with the proven client/server DBMS of choice
- Pervasive.SQL V8. And now is the perfect time to upgrade
from older Pervasive database versions or from the DataFlex
embedded database!
From
now until June 18, 2004, you can get Pervasive's latest
data security product - Pervasive
Backup Agent - for free when you upgrade to Pervasive.SQL
V8 for DataFlex.
Many
developers rely on third-party backups of their data for
business continuity. To ensure that your backups are clean
and usable every time, do it with Pervasive Backup Agent
and lower your support costs while increasing your chances
of recovering fully from unexpected downtime and disaster.
Why
Pervasive.SQL over Microsoft.SQL or Oracle? Read this
recent
article in Dev X that addresses the advantages of
Pervasive's embedded data management solution.
