Take a look at Visual DataFlex 10's enhanced WinPrint, Wizards and usability!
Visual DataFlex 10 has been released for Beta testing and, in addition to the robust Web Services features that this latest revision offers, developers are certain to love the new WinPrint 2 features, Wizard enhancements, and overall usability improvements, as well!

WinPrint 2
Visual DataFlex 10's new WinPrint 2 components include a significantly improved viewer that offers faster previewing as well as background previewing (to preview a report even as the report is being generated), faster paging, a modern interface that's consistent with the Crystal Reports viewer (for applications that use both WinPrint2 and Crystal Reports), more intuitive operations, improved Report Progress notification, support for JPEG and other graphic file formats, and better control over graphic file locations.

Studio Wizards & Workflow
All of VDF 10's Studio Wizards have been improved and are fully integrated with the Studio workflow improvements. In addition, the Data Entry View and WinPrint 2 report Wizards have been completely redesigned and are much more versatile.

Connectivity Kits Included!
Visual DataFlex 10 Studio licenses now include 2-user development and testing licenses for all the Data Access Worldwide database connectivity options: Microsoft SQL Server, Pervasive.SQL V8, IBM DB2 and ODBC (with Embedded SQL support). All of the connectivity components are installed automatically and are pre-registered for use with your Visual DataFlex 10 Studio license. Your development environment will now have all the connectivity options at your fingertips, and at no additional charge!

And More!
Additional features of Visual DataFlex 10 include:

  • Database Explorer improvements;
  • New improvements to the documentation;
  • A new example workspace (WebServicesClient) that illustrates various Visual DataFlex Windows applications operating as Web Services clients;
  • New examples for publishing server-side Web Services using Web Application Server;
  • Bug fixes along with over 20 developer suggestions that have been implemented, as well!

We encourage you to download and install Visual DataFlex 10.0 Beta 1 and to take a look at all these new features, as well as to assist us with the Beta testing to ensure the best possible software is delivered at release time. Complete information about VDF 10 and participating in the Beta Test program is included with the download.

CrossMerge Beta Testing continues
